What is it?

Florida’s workforce partners have teamed up with Microsoft to offer 35,000 Microsoft E-Learning vouchers to citizens looking to increase their technical skills, knowledge and competitiveness in today’s increasingly technical job market. The State of Florida thanks Microsoft for this generous donation, a testament to its commitment to boosting computer literacy and empowering Americans to elevate their talent, value and contributions to Florida businesses.

Why is it important?

In alignment with its No. 1 priority of getting Floridians back to work, Florida’s workforce system strives to increase Floridians’ access to the types of training they need to enter and advance in Innovation Economy careers. Key among these areas of training is computer literacy, which Elevate America seeks to bolster among members of Florida’s workforce.

Workforce Florida and the Agency for Workforce Innovation thank Microsoft for its generous donation and commitment to improving the digital literacy of Florida’s workforce. Microsoft Elevate America in Florida concluded August 22, 2010.
